What
Ōtākaro is divesting parcels of land that are not required for Anchor Projects.
Why
Land was acquired by the Crown under the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011 to enable the construction of Anchor Projects. In some cases, due to how the land was previously owned or how the Anchor Projects have taken shape, the parcels that have been acquired are larger than what is needed. Ōtākaro is selling this balance of land.
Where
The parcels are located throughout the central city.
How
Ōtākaro uses different methods to divest its land, including Expressions of Interest and Requests for Proposals. The company is not bound to any particular process and will respond to direct approaches from developers without going to the market.
When
Parcels of land are becoming available progressively as titles are reissued.
Who else is involved?
Ōtākaro is just one of many land owners in the central city. Anyone interested in buying land may also wish to contact realtors to find out about other land.
